As a Bachelor of Fine Arts student at the University of South Dakota, I majored in Graphic Design/Multimedia with breadth courses in Advertising and Visual Communication.

While at USD, I served as the Undergraduate Student Representative to the University Art Galleries Board and as the Lead Designer for the Slagle Hall Mural Project. I also worked as a Management Trainee at Barnes and Noble at USD and as a Freelance Graphic and Web Designer doing work for clients such as William Randall Publishing in Yankton, SD and Smith Electric, Plumbing, and Heating in Hawarden, IA. In May 2004, I gradulated Cum Laude and continued working freelance.

In July 2004, I began a position as the Graphic/Web Designer at JamesDugan Inc. (Advertising, Marketing, and Strategy) in Sioux Falls. However, after a time in advertising I began to miss the creative freedom freelance design had allowed me. In early November, I left JamesDugan to return to the world of freelance graphic and web design.

Today, I am the in-house Graphic Designer and Advertising Coordinator at A&I Products in Rock Valley, Iowa. I am responsible for fulfilling all of the company's graphic design, advertising, and catalog needs. In my freetime, I continue to do work for some of my freelance clients providing them with creative and effective advertising and marketing materials and websites.
